Harris Dewart is delivering the ground-up construction of the Wild Bear Nature Center in Nederland, Colorado, a permanent home for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to environmental education and mountain ecology. Designed by Arch 11, the project is being built to achieve net-zero energy performance and will be the highest-elevation net-zero nature center in the United States. Our team is managing construction with a focus on quality execution, coordination, and schedule control throughout the build process. The project requires careful integration of architectural intent, performance goals, and challenging mountain site conditions. Once complete, the Wild Bear Nature Center will serve as a landmark community resource for sustainability and nature education across the Colorado Front Range.
